Rapid Results With Four Weeks of Golf Lessons
By admin | October 25, 2006
After a one month intensive golf program at the Australian High Performance Golf Academy all my expectations have been met or exceeded. I now feel empowered with the technical and mental skills to achieve my golfing goals.
Remember Alex? He came to us at the end of August, see his original comments here
He’s what he said recently …..
Here is how Lawrie and his coaching team helped me during my stay at the Australian High Performance Golf Academy:
- An in-depth assessment of all areas of my golf game (long, short, putting, mental, physio, equipment)
- Development of a structured, personalised training program aimed at improving my scoring ability to a +2 handicap level
- Regular mentoring sessions on the mental side of golf and goal-setting
- Almost full-time, high performance, intensive one-on-one technical coaching
The one thing that I most value from my time at Australian High Performance Golf Academy is the ongoing mentoring relationship that I now have with Lawrie and Tony.
I now know exactly where I need to improve, exactly how to do it and
how to measure my progress. I also have clear short and long terms
goals about where I want to go with my golf and what I need to do to
get there.
Even though I am now back at my home club, it is reassuring for me to know that I am backed by a crack team that know my game inside-out, are interested in me, believe in me and want to continue to track and advise on my development.
But in golf the only thing that really counts is the score.
Am I shooting better scores? Although I have not yet shot any super low scores in the 4 weeks since Australian High Performance Golf Academy I am now much more consistently scoring around par. Before AHPGA my scores were all over the place (70-80).
Currently they are grouping more closely around the 70-74 mark.
My goal in the next 12 months is to get to the stage where I can average 2-under with regular scores in the 60’s.
