Remember Dhuv? He flew from India for some intensive golf instruction at the AHPGA. He sent us this report:
“Round 3 of the Delhi tournament, a month since my visit to the academy and I finally broke 80!!! It feels so good …..”

Subject: Breaking 80!
Hi Tony,
Round 3 of the Delhi tournament, a month since my visit to the academy and I finally broke 80!!! It feels so good.. Shot a 5 over 77!!
Thats helped me cover a few shots on the others and comin about 10th or so… Lookin to shoot another low number tomorrow (which i now really believe i can do) and finish inside the top 10..
Sent you the stats.. the weather was rainy and cloudy.. there was an hour and a half suspension of play halfway through my round due to rain and lightning but we managed to finish somehow..
greens were slower than usual and rough, bunkers and fairways wet so course was playing harder and longer..
Thanks fr the advice on grip thickness.. i think i will change the grips on my SW and PW but leave the thick ones on my irons and woods coz im hitting them well js with a little too much fade sometimes though (could that be coz i am struggling to square the clubface up with restricted hand action due to the thick grips?)
Note for stats - Great putting day. Making clutch putts inside 10 feet and some big ones outside 30 feet. Good chipping also. Average bunker shots struggling to spin ball from wet sand. Hitting irons weak with too much L2R ball flight. Poor contact on drives but not so bad direction. Great birdie birdie finish!!
PS - The highlight of the day was the 60 foot birdie putt that i holed on the 18th.. the whole gallery and clubhouse erupted!!! and the 30 footer i made on 17!!
